I'll roll up my sleeves and dive into your manuscript, line-by-line, smoothing out your sentences, correcting grammar and spelling mistakes, and ensuring every word plays its part in creating a story that's impactful, clear, and binge-worthy.

Each option includes:

  1. Edit of 80,000 words*: The sweet spot between brevity and depth. This word count typically provides enough content to create a rich and engaging story with well-developed characters, a compelling plot, and sufficient world-building—the secret sauce for your readers!

  2. An editorial letter: Think of it as your roadmap for gaining clarity on your ideas, identifying problematic areas in your story and offering concrete solutions.

  3. 1-hr follow-up call: The perfect container to discuss any questions or concerns that arise, so you’ll feel confident taking your next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! 80k words is the sweet spot, but I understand that some books need a few more pages to tell the story.

    Manuscripts submitted with a word count greater than 80K will be charged the base rate for the selected service, plus the following:

    • Manuscript Evaluation: $.009 per each additional word.

    • Copy Edit: $.02 per each additional word

  • The completion of edits is based on the final word count and the shape of your manuscript when submitted. If your book is in the 80k word range, you can generally expect the following timeline:

    • Manuscript Evaluation: 3-6 weeks

    • Copy Edit: 4-6 weeks

  • All copy edits receive in-line comments on the full draft.

    Manuscript evaluations receive in-line comments on the first chapter to give you a general idea of areas that are working, and those that need improvement.

  • I currently accept both fiction and non-fiction manuscripts. I enjoy editing Romance, Fantasy, Contemporary Lit, and Urban Lit.

    I do not accept books in the Erotica or Horror/Occult genres. I also do not accept books that promote/condone abuse or non-consent.
